Landlord Colors: On Art, Economy and Materiality Exhibition

Landlord Colors: On Art, Economy and Materiality, is an important and thought provoking exhibition which examines periods of social and economic upheaval in 1967 Detroit, Cuba from 1990’s to the present, South Korea in the 1970’s and contemporary Greece after the fallout of the 2009 financial crisis. The exhibition features the work of some 60 artists. It is particularly noteworthy that the work of Detroit artists Olayami Dabls, Tyree Guyton, Carole Harris, Al Loving, Tiff Massey, Charles McGee, Allie McGhee and Gilda Snowden represented. The exhibition is on view at the Cranbrook Art Museum now through October 6, 2019
